Testimonials Training

Thanks heaps for a great course (level 2). It was full of information and so hands on – it has taken the ‘scary’ out of cake decorating. I can’t believe the number of different techniques we covered in only 5 nights – more than I would have thought possible if you had told me prior. I can’t wait to master them at home! I also loved your teaching style – relaxed and fun and a wealth of information. Thanks again for a great course! Shelley

I would like to sincerely thank you for the amount of patience and effort you have put in for me to learn and kick start my career in cake decorating and sugar art. The opportunities you have laid out for me, the classes I have attended, the jobs you have give me to practice at home, the article in the Chronicle have been deeply appreciated. There aren’t a lot of people who give inexperienced students the opportunities you have and its fantastic you are so willing to put in the extra time to do so. I continue to look forward to many more tricks of the trade that you show me and the many more decorating classes to come. Vicky Gilbert

Thank you for providing our kindy children with such a spectacular cake decorating session last week. Both the children and adults were captivated. It was wonderful the way you spoke with and included the children in your demonstration. Since then we have had quite a few more ‘weddings’ and each play-dough cake that they make has to have little wire decorations added to it. I cannot thank you enough…..we love to offer our children rich experiences that will stimulate their play. Many thanks for exposing them to something so new and fascinating. Highfields Kindergarten

Thank you so much for everything you have taught me. I am so glad that I learnt from you…..I admire you so much. I have had the best time in your classes and I am going away with yet another hobby. I really am so grateful. Steph

Hi Mary,

Thank you so much for a great training course yesterday.  It was jam packed full of information – so much so that I am working my way through the handouts and my notes again to make sure I haven’t missed anything!  I really enjoyed learning your tips and tricks, and I particularly liked ‘seeing’ how to do things as well as your explanations (eg making of royal, levelling tiers to ensure similar height using boards, covering tower cakes etc).  A lot of your tips are so obvious now but before I knew they seemed like the hardest challenge to overcome!

I really like all the additional handouts in the course pack – they add to the information you covered and are a take home reminder for me to refer to later on.  I also like the way the course is broken into the different sections – very clear and easy to remember to ask any questions I had about each topic.  I liked the small group size and being able to interact with other like-minded people and share information.  I also liked that it was a day course – one hit – rather than one at night or spread over two sessions (though that does make it a big day for you!).

I also really enjoy your teaching style – relaxed and friendly yet so very informative.  You are so passionate about what you do that it is infectious and inspires me to come straight home and get stuck in to my next project regardless of the chores mounting up behind me!  You also tailor your explanations to ensure we all understand in the end.

If I could make any suggestions for improvement it would be to maybe send the course outline (first yellow page) out before the course date with a request to review and come up with any questions that we want answers/advice for – I’m sure I’ve forgotten to ask something about something that I’m unsure of!

Thank you again for a great session and thank you Cheryl for the dowel template – that one will come in very handy!

Thanks heaps

Shelley
